Mining Certification Courses

From a Basic Professional Certificate to a Professional Diploma: 119 programmes, one pathway.

How the AfIMPP certification pathway works

The African Institution of Mining Professionals and Practitioners (AfIMPP) organises its mining courses as a progression. Most subjects, such as surface mining, mine accounting or mineral resources management, are offered at more than one level, so you can start where your experience fits and move up.

AfIMPP's certificate programmes are offered in collaboration with lecturers of the Department of Mining Engineering, University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Tarkwa, and AfIMPP awards dual certificates to successful applicants. Programmes are taught by practising mining engineers and academics.

Programmes are designed for mining engineers, geologists, mining technicians, mining operators, and supervisors and managers working in Ghana and across Africa.
